WHO WE ARE:
We are the Greater New Orleans Senior Olympics District of the Louisiana
Senior Olympics We are one of the ten Districts within the State, bringing
the Olympiad to Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, Plaquemines Parishes, and
the immediate areas of the River Parishes. Except for the Program Director,
we are an all-volunteer staff dedicated to presenting the best that Southeast
has to offer in Senior Olympics.
WHAT WE STAND FOR:
We are dedicated to Wellness, Fellowship, Continuity of independent
lifestyle, and preserving the Competitive Spirit among citizens of all
ages, particularly those over 50. Our Athletes come from all walks of
life, and offer encouragement to fellow seniors. They know no other
way but to continue to compete. Winning isn't everything, but you
cannot win if you do not compete. Join us and experience your own
"championship season."

Our Mission:
GNOSO's Mission is to provide seniors over the age of 50, quality venues
to participate in a variety of athletic, recreational and social activities, all
of which promote wellness and an active lifestyle.
