Side Notes:
Tennis is a sport enjoyed by all ages, from 8-year-old Juniors to players well into their 90s. We were fortunate to have had Howard Kuntz in 2013, a world-class 95-year-old. Although Howard is not entered this year, the field includes Ray Breaux, several times a Louisiana State Champion in his age groups. Mr Breaux is partnered with Sellers Meric, another multi-sport champion. In 2011, the team of Raymond Breaux and Sellers Meric won the National Senior Olympics Gold in Men's 80-84 Doubles, thereby defending their titles from the 2009 National Senior Olympics. Breaux/Meric won over a VERY determined, younger team. Opponents Benigno and Roney explained their high level of tennis in rising to the challenge, "When you're playing the best, you just naturally play better.
