EVENT DETAILS:
Tennis is a sport enjoyed by all ages, from 8-year-old Juniors to players well into their 90s. We were fortunate to have had Howard Kuntz in 2013, a world-class 95-year-old. Although Howard is not entered this year, the field includes Ray Breaux, several times a Louisiana State Champion in his age groups. Mr Breaux is partnered with Sellers Meric, another multi-sport champion. In 2011, the team of Raymond Breaux and Sellers Meric won the National Senior Olympics Gold in Men's 80-84 Doubles, thereby defending their titles from the 2009 National Senior Olympics. Breaux/Meric won over a VERY determined, younger team. Opponents Benigno and Roney explained their high level of tennis in rising to the challenge, "When you're playing the best, you just naturally play better."

Remember, Life - LIVING BEGINS at 50!

MISSION: GNOSO's Mission is to provide seniors over the age of 50, quality venues to participate in a variety of athletic, recreational and social activities, all of which promote wellness and an active lifestyle.
