Here are the Greater New Orleans Senior Olympics STARS For 2010

GNOSO Proudly Presents the District Senior Female Olympian of the Year 2010:

Each District nominates both a Female, and a Male District Senior Olympian of the Year. The criteria for awarding this honor are such that only the "cream of the crop" of the District are eligible for nomination. This year's District Senior Female Olympian of the Year is:

 Patricia Dover

PATRICIA (PAT) DOVER

Pat has faithfully participated in Senior Olympic District and State Games since 1993.  She has played in the National Senior Games for a total of four years.

She plays in the Harahan Games in the “Over-50” Ladies Volleyball League.  In addition she plays in the GNOSO Volleyball, Shuffleboard and Pickleball Events.  She is also the Event Coordinator for the End-of-Season “Celebration of the Athletes” and Banquet Gala.
Pat is a great asset to GNOSO and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2005.  She acquires donations to benefit both Participants and the Banquet Gala.  She attends clinics, workshops and demonstrations, helping with the presentation of materials to the attendees.  Pat has involved several family members who enjoy the Events.  She solicits donations from two of her sons-in-law, and she coaxes her daughter to help with mailings and with the Banquet.
Still involved in Community Activities, she presently works two days a week as Administrative Assistant at Lusher Charter School and is a member of the Lusher Charter School. Board of Directors.
